RED HELMET

Today I was feeling distracted. Early this
morning at the store I work at, a guy stole
something and ran out the store. I'm not
sure what he took, but my boss ran after
him. I guess it was neat to see someone
run after someone else under that
particular type of circumstance.

Anyway, I've been keeping myself busy by
finishing up the helmet I've been working
on. It's of a guy on a bike wearing a helmet,
and on top of his helmet, his helmet is also
wearing a helmet:

He emerges from a dragon's mouth that
comes from a house with a great
big roof.

Along the way he rides by the Parthenon,
through the ocean, the Leaning Tower
of Pisa...

He rides through the snow covered
mountains, pass the daisy patch, through
Brazil,

Has a couple of epiphanies along the way,
through the storm, onto some Lily Pads,
and over the moon,

Through a field of crop circles, and under
some clouds...

Been a productive day although disturbing.

Lisa that helmet is awesome, like I said earlier, I don't have any artistic intellect with which to speak, but I do find it very appealing, nice work.

Dear Lisa,

I enjoyed perusing your blog.

Your blog is fun. While it has an art heavy emphasis (as opposed to an egalitarian art/stuff dichotomoy as promised in the title) (and yes, art could normally be stuff, too, but you have implicitly defined stuff as not including "art") it is is totally fine...

So don't crush yourself to draw forth any red pigment. :) Completely unnecessary.

Anyways...

I like your observations on your previous post (chronologically from the one on which I am commenting on, which is, of course, out of sync with what you are writing) about your watching the outcasts come out at night, I understand that observational insight well.

Fun helmet too.

Anyways, I just wanted to say thanks for sharing your world.

It may take ages to notice this, as it is not in the normal order.

Hopefully when you find this snippet of thanks, it will bring a smile to your face, similar to the one which your blog brought to mine.

Cheers,
Chris

Ooh, after looking at what I just wrote, I note some ambiguity. In paragraph three (funny how people do not count the salutory entry to a missive as a self-contained paragraph... lexically and orthographically, I am sure we should, but I digress) the source of the pigment is not utterly clear.

I don't mind imprecision, but some Canadians do. I, of course, referred to cochineal from Dactylopius coccus, not 'le sang' which stains the slab of your first colour love.

:)
